Easy, quick and HEALTHY - perfect for any meal. These crispy air fryer fish fillets can be made with any white fish of your choice and pair perfectly with our healthy homemade tartar sauce.
Thaw fish fillets and cut into smaller pieces (if necessary in order for your fillets to fit into your air fryer). Ensure fish is completely dry before beginning the coating process.
You will need 3 wide bowls. In one bowl mix flour, salt and pepper. In a second bowl, beat egg, milk and lemon juice. In the third bowl, mix panko, unsweetened coconut, garlic powder, parsley, chilli powder and salt.
Coat each fish fillet individually in the flour, then dip in the egg (allow any excess to drip off) and end with the panko/coconut mixture.
Spray the air fryer basket with oil and evenly space fillets into the air fryer (we can fit 4 at a time). Cook for 6 minutes, flip the fish and cook for another 6 minutes before transferring to a clean plate. Repeat with the remaining fillets.*
Serve right away with tartar sauce and enjoy!
Healthy Tartar Sauce
Finely chop the dill pickles, capers and fresh dill.
Mix all together in a small dish and serve!
Notes
*Our AirFryer - the ActiFry Original that was purchased at Canadian Tire in Canada, doesn't have a temperature control. Based on other research, I would set your air fryer at 400 degrees celcius for this recipe and adjust the time since all air fryers seem to be a little different. Start with 6 minutes per side and if it's not crispy enough cook for a minute or 2 longer.
